Affiliate FAQ

Any company related to or who has an interest the real estate industry can be an affiliate member. We have mortgage, title, insurance, inspection, home warranty, and several other categories of companies as affiliate members.

Once you decide to become an affiliate member with the Southern Ohio Association of REALTORS®, we will need an application for membership. Dues are initially prorated, then they are $125 per year. When your application and payment is received, we will add you to our system and put your name and company information on our website. Upon acceptance of your membership application, you will begin receiving our newsletter and other member benefits.

We currently do not hold general membership meetings, however we would love to have you participate in one of our committees! It will give you an additional networking opportunity as well as being able to make a difference in the board.

Once we receive and process your membership application, we will send you a welcome e-mail with the most current REALTOR®list.

We currently do not offer an affiliate position on the board of directors. We would love to have you participate in one of our committees, though.

Once we receive and process your membership application, we will send you a welcome e-mail with the next steps, as well as the most current REALTOR® Member list. You will receive immediate access to our member benefits as well as the ability to sponsor and participate in our company events and be part of our committees.

The cornerstone of our Association is the participation of both our Members and our Affiliates. Interaction of our Members and Affiliates forms business and strategic alliances that better our industry through the integration of local experience and expertise in a professional business networking setting.

Your membership gives you:

  • Exposure to the REALTOR membership directory.
  • The ability to participate on committees for outreach and event exposure.
  • An opportunity to advertise in the official SOAR website and events.
  • The ability to participate in cooperative sales and marketing programs targeting Members.
  • Access to listings of upcoming SOAR/OAR/NAR conventions and events to promote your business.
  • The opportunity to post your organization’s events on the SOAR FaceBook Fan Page

Each branch of the company would need to submit a membership application and pay the yearly fee. We can then put each instance of your company on the Affiliate roster, and members searching for services within that area can contact the correct branch.
