SOAR offers two types of scholarships.
The first is available to individuals who are taking courses in pursuit of licensing or designations for real estate or any other ancillary home services. Some examples of courses that this scholarship could be used for are pre-licensing courses, required post licensure courses, G.R.I. or A.B.R. designations for licensed realtors, A.S.H.I designation for inspectors, courses for appraisers. Applicants must be either a SOAR member in good standing, either primary, secondary or affiliate member or be sponsored by a SOAR member in good standing. Scholarship must be applied for prior to course completion. We award these scholarships twice a year with a maximum award of $500. The second type of scholarship that we offer is awarded in April of each year to provide assistance to graduating high school seniors from our service areas of Clermont, Brown, Adams, Warren and eastern Hamilton Counties for post secondary education or career training. The graduating senior does not need to be a family member of a SOAR member. The application period for these scholarships is January 1st – March 1st of each year.
